The WEX-KIT is a Wiegand Extender, it consists of 2 modules. The WEXi (Wiegand Input) & WEXo (Wiegand Output). These modules communicate between themselves via a RS485 connection. This allows the Wiegand Kit to extend Wiegand signals up to 4000Ft. Additional WEXi modules may be connected to this RS485 network, allowing additional Wiegand signals to sent. The Wiegand source may be located up to 300 ft from the WEXi module, making the RS485 network connections easier.
